A little understanding
goes a long way.
How many reps should I do?
Most of your sets should stop a few reps short of failure, around 50–70% of your max. That lets you do more total reps each week, which drives progress.
How fast should I add reps?
Adding about 5–10% to your weekly total is sustainable. Take an easier week every 4–6 weeks.
Is this calculator for me?
It suits anyone who lifts, from beginners to experienced lifters. Results are estimates. Technique, sleep, food and stress all change what you can lift on the day. Always warm up and use a spotter or safety bars for heavy sets.
