BEHIND YOUR NUMBER

A little understanding
goes a long way.

What are RPE and RIR?

RPE rates how hard a set felt from 1 to 10. RIR is how many more reps you could have done. RPE 8 means about 2 reps left.

RIR = 10 − RPE

Why train by RPE?

It adjusts to how you feel on the day. On a bad day, the same RPE means a slightly lighter weight.

Is this calculator for me?

It suits anyone who lifts, from beginners to experienced lifters. Results are estimates. Technique, sleep, food and stress all change what you can lift on the day. Always warm up and use a spotter or safety bars for heavy sets.
