goes a long way.
Does height or weight matter more?
Weight matters most, because it controls how the board flexes. Height is a useful starting point; we blend both and lean towards weight.
Shorter or longer?
Shorter boards are easier to turn and better for park and beginners. Longer boards are more stable at speed and float better in powder.
When do I need a wide board?
If your boots hang over the edges, they can drag in turns. Most riders in UK size 10.5–11 or bigger need a wide (W) or mid-wide board.
How accurate is this?
It gives a sensible starting point based on widely used formulas and sizing guides. Brands, conditions and personal preference vary, so treat it as a guide and check with a coach, fitter or specialist shop.
