goes a long way.
What does NICE recommend?
NICE says to keep your waist to less than half your height. A ratio of 0.5 to 0.59 means increased health risk; 0.6 or more means high risk.
How do I measure my waist?
Find the point halfway between your lowest rib and the top of your hip bone. Breathe out normally and measure around your body there, keeping the tape level.
Is this calculator for me?
It suits most healthy adults. Results are estimates. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant or are new to exercise, check with your GP before increasing your activity.
