How many posts do I need?
One more post than panels for a straight run. Add one extra for each corner, and remember each end needs a post.
How deep should posts go?
About a quarter of the post’s length should be in the ground, so a 2.4 m post for a 1.8 m fence. Most posts need 2 bags of postcrete each.
How accurate is this?
It gives a good estimate for planning and ordering. Check the coverage and sizes on the products you buy, measure carefully, and keep receipts so you can return unopened extras.
