BEHIND YOUR NUMBER

A little understanding
goes a long way.

What is progressive overload?

Gradually asking more of your muscles: more weight, more reps or more sets over time. Without it, progress stalls.

Weight or reps?

Linear progression adds a little weight each week. Double progression adds reps until you reach the top of a range, then adds weight and drops back to the bottom.

Is this calculator for me?

It suits anyone who lifts, from beginners to experienced lifters. Results are estimates. Technique, sleep, food and stress all change what you can lift on the day. Always warm up and use a spotter or safety bars for heavy sets.
