goes a long way.
How much does a litre cover?
Most emulsion covers about 12–14 m² per litre per coat on smooth, sealed walls. New plaster, rough or dark surfaces need more. Check the tin.
How many coats?
Two coats is standard. Allow a mist coat first on new plaster, and an extra coat when covering a strong colour.
How accurate is this?
It gives a good estimate for planning and ordering. Check the coverage and sizes on the products you buy, measure carefully, and keep receipts so you can return unopened extras.
